13 areas approved for 24-hour businesses

The economic ministry has designated 13 areas in Male’ and Villimale’ to run 24-hour businesses.
On Tuesday, the ministry stated that it made the change to the regulations on cafés, restaurants, canteens, and the regulations on imported goods.
The designated areas in Male’ are Boduthakurufaanu Magu, Kanbaa Aisa Rani Hingun, Fareedhee Magu, Sosun Magu, Medhu Ziyaaraiy Magu, Janavaree Magu, Majeedhee Magu, Buruzu Magu, Orchid Magu, Ameenee Magu, and Lonuziyaaraiy Magu.
The designated area in Villimale’ is the ferry terminal area.
The economic ministry stated that businesses will be approved after they meet the requirements, afterwards they will only be able sell essential items and can remain open except during prayer times.
