President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared 07th February, a Thursday, as a public holiday.
The decision to declare 07th February as a holiday came following the scheduling of the Parliament’s inaugural sitting for that day.
The inaugural sitting will be held in Dharubaaruge and President Solih will make an address on the state of the country and will present proposals for improving the state of the country to the Parliament, as stated under article 84 of the Maldives Constitution.
Work to hold the inaugural sitting is currently underway.
