Previous prices were MVR 11.99 for a liter of diesel and MVR 11.19 for a liter of petrol.
The government has granted permission for petrol stations to be kept open round the clock on 04th December. This change was brought after a bill proposing an amendment to the import and export act of Maldives. Prior to the amendment, petrol and diesel stations operated from 5am to 12am.
However, establishments will be allowed to be kept open round the clock if it has the required permit from the government to operate 24/7.
