The Addu Investors Forum, a partnership venture by Tourism Ministry and Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC), has been postponed indefinitely.

The Forum was initially slated for a March opening.

A senior official at the Tourism Ministry said that all participants of the Forum had been informed of the postponement but declined to reveal why it was delayed.

Addu Investors Forum is a Forum that will seek out the expansion of mid-level tourism in the region. MITDC says that investors both locally and internationally will participate in the Forum, including guesthouse operators, tour operators and tourism sector participants.
