Huravee School to open on Sunday

Huravee School, the largest school in Hulhumale’, will open on Sunday, says Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali.

At a press conference, Minister Aishath said that they are now making preparations for the school to open for the new academic year.

The Minister said that the school will follow the new government’s policies.

The recently built school is in Neighborhood 1 of Hulhumale’. Its construction was contracted to Amin Construction for MVR 132 million.

The school will be teaching from grades one to nine and grade 11 and will begin teaching grades 10 and 12 in the year 2020.

The School is a seven-story building located nearby Little Gems Pre-school, consisting of three blocks and 53 classrooms to accommodate up to 1,700 students. RaajjeMV understands that two of the classrooms will be specialized for students with special needs.
