President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Monday appointed Chief Executive Officers to Maldives Qualification Authority and Maldives Polytechnic.

Dr. Abdul Hannan was appointed as CEO to Maldives Qualification Authority at the level of Minister of State.

Hannan has a PhD in education from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia and previously served as an editor at the Maldives Business Standard.

Ahmed Nasir was appointed as CEO to Maldives Polytechnic at the level of Deputy Minister.

Nasir, having contributed in the training and education sector of the country had played a key role in the establishment of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management in Villa College as well as the establishment of Maldives Media Institute.

He had previously served as Assessor at TVET Authority as well as a council member at the authority. He was also a part-time lecturer at Villa College, Training Maldives, Maldives Institute for Technology, Mandhu College as well as a part-time trainer at the Civil Service Training Institute.

Nasir also has a Masters of Business Administration from Open University of Malaysia.
