The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that it is investigating a case in which an employee at the GA. Villingili Council was sexually harrassed by a council member.

The police service stated that it received the report on Sunday.

An island resident revealed that the report was filed by the victim.

RaajjeMV understands that a report was also filed at the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services.

Villingili Island Council President Mustafa Mohamed told RaajjeMV that they will be looking into the matter as well.
