President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Thursday concluded his tour across Noonu and Raa atolls, and returned to the capital city Male’.
During his visit President Solih visited Dhuvaafaru island, where he addressed the island residents on the national unity displayed by the Maldivian people on the day of the 2004 tsunami, his home island Hinnavaru, Naifaru and Henbadhoo islands.
While the President attended this year’s “National Unity Day” function held in Dhuvaafaru first, he also met with the island council members of the island as well as Ungoofaaru island.
While his visit to birth island Hinnavaru was unofficial, President Solih visited Naifaru on Thursday morning and met with the island's council members.
His tour concluded in Henbadhoo island where he launched sanitation services in the island and met with island council members. President Solih also toured the cultural display presented in the island during his visit.
