Maldivian fishermen have been trespassing in Indian waters, says Brigadier General Ali Zuhair.
The Brigadier General said this at the press conference held on Tuesday regarding the Sri Lankan fishing boat captured inside Maldivian territory.
Zuhair said that fishermen should be mindful of staying inside Maldives’ exclusive economic zone, as Indian authorities have disclosed that Maldivians have been seen fishing illegally in the Indian region.
Authorities recently caught Sri Lankan boat Oshadi I 42 miles outside GDh. Gadhdhoo with six Sri Lankan fishermen and shark carcasses inside.
