The state’s Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has on Tuesday announced the appointment of directors to three state enterprises.

Managing directors were appointed to the Public Service Media, Maldives Hajj Corporation, and Waste Management Corporation.

Ali Khalid, native to capital city Malé, was appointed to head the state news network, Public Service Media. Khalid was previously the company’s CEO and served as the communication officer at the President’s Office.

Ismail Hameed, a resident in Hulhumalé, was appointed managing director of the Maldives Hajj Corporation.

Adam Mohamed has been appointed to the Waste Management Corporation, which handles collection and transport of waste from all households and businesses in the ‘Greater Malé Area’, Maldives' administrative capital.

Several employees at state enterprises resigned before President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's inauguration on November 17th, while some of them were replaced after.
