All schools to be included School Breakfast Program, in second semester: Education Ministry
The minister said that the local program has been formed with advice from nutritional experts

The state’s School Breakfast Program will be implemented to include all schools from the second semester of the 2019 academic year, Education Minister Aishath Ali has said.
Minister Aishath revealed this at a conference on Sunday night held to discuss the program with parents and the public.
The minister said that the local program has been formed with advice from nutritional experts and follows the same function of similar programs in other countries.
While only 25 schools are to be included in the program at its pilot run the first semester, all 212 schools across the country will be included from the following semester onwards, the minister said.
At a press conference on Thursday, Education Minister Aishath Ali said that the ministry aims to expand the program to include all 212 schools in the country, within the next five years.
The ministry has prepared 10 menus that include sandwiches, omelets, flat bread (roshi), and packets of milk.
