Officers of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has located and recovered a dinghy vessel reported missing on Sunday.

The vessel was reported missing at about 1:30pm, although the MNDF says they dispatched a vessel to locate them immediately.

The vessel was located a few hours after, and was brought to the Ukulhas Island in Alif Alif atoll at about 03:00pm.

The MNDF has said that the vessel had gotten lost and its crew had anchored it down to avoid drifting.
