Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has announced that a guesthouse conference will be held on December 29.
Holding a guesthouse conference is a pledge of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in his 100-day agenda.
At a press conference in AA. Rasdhoo, Minister Waheed said the government will invite all registered guesthouse businesses to the conference, where they will inquire on the difficulties they face and provide solutions.
The conference will also see discussions on increasing tourist visitors, expanding local tourism and promoting guesthouses.
Minister Waheed said that this will be the biggest conference ever held for guesthouse businesses by the government.
