Health minister Abdulla Ameen has vowed to meet the expectations of Addu City residents when establishing services at the tertiary hospital.
The minister said this after taking a tour inside the tertiary hospital in his two-day trip to Addu.
After the tour, minister Ameen said the new administration aims to establish tertiary-level services and improve the overall health sector in Addu.
Minister Ameen emphasized that the tertiary hospital will need to be further developed in the future and accommodate people coming for treatment from other parts of the country. He also said that the tertiary hospital will be opened ahead of schedule.
This is minister Ameen’s first atoll trip since taking office, during which he toured and met with employees of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Maradhoo Health Center, Dhamana Veshi, Feydhoo Health Center, and Hulhumeedhoo Health Center.
Minister Ameen also heard the concerns of the workers and discussed the difficulties and improvements to be made at the facilities.
