3rd MBA Cup: LT, Stringers kick off to impressive start
Four men’s teams in first division

LT Sports and Stringers Basketball Club have kicked off to an impressive start in the third MBA Cup organized by Maldives Basketball Association.
LT faced off against UN Friends, winning the match by 55 – 37 points. LT’s Mohamed Evan Zahir was the man of the match, having scored 15 points. Shiham Ismail of UN Friends scored the most for that team with eight points.
Stringers beat Red Wings by 75 – 50 points, with Mohamed Zabeer from Stringers scoring the most number of points with 27. Yafiu Ibrahim Adam scored 14 points for Red Wings.
Six teams contest in the second division of the tournament. Four teams in the male category contest in the first division of the tournament, with three teams from women’s category contest in the same division.
