The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed two new Managing Directors to State Electric Company (STELCO) as well as Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
PCB’s President Mohamed Nizar announced the appointment via twitter on Monday night.
Shahid Ali, native to Hulhudhoo island in Seenu atoll, was appointed as the new Managing Director at MPL while Hassan Mughnee, native to capital city Male’ was appointed as the new Managing Director of STELCO.

RaajjeMV understands that Shahid’s appointment as MD comes weeks after the position had been left vacant, after previous MD Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem resigned about a week prior to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s inauguration on the 17th of November, reports sources.
