The Transport Ministry has expanded the bus service from Male’ to Hulhumale’ after opening new bus stops.

Transport Minister Aishath Nahula was one of the first passengers to use one othe new bus stops.

Speaking to the press, Minister Nahula said two new bus stops have been opened in Male’ and seven have been opened in Hulhumale’.

The new bus stops in Male’ are established in the ring road area.

Minister Nahula said a minibus service will soon be introduced for travel within Male’ and that the ministry will be working on establishing bus services in other cities such as Fuvahmulah and Addu.

Increasing the number of bus stops is part of the government’s pledge for its first 30 days and this is expected to be followed up with changes to the traffic flow.
