Ahmed Afzal, the state minister at the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology, has said that he will hand over his resignation if the accusations against him are proven.
He said this in a letter to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday after facing accusations on social media.
In the letter, state minister Afzal said people have been defaming him with false accusations online since his appointment.
He asked the ACC to investigate the accusations and has even provided relevant information.
In a later press statement, he vehemently denied the accusations of corruption and said that he has always worked for the sake of the nation. He also said that he has requested the ACC to investigate the accusations against him and vowed to give his full cooperation to any probe.
