Renowned Muslim cleric and a Mufti from Zimbabwe, Ismail ibn Musa Menk has sent a congratulatory message to seventh President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih via social media.
Mufti Menk in a tweet sent out in the early hours of Sunday sent his heartfelt congratulations to President Solih following his inauguration as the new Maldives President on Saturday.
Mufti Menk, known as one of the most influential Muslims across the globe, wrote that his prays the country will see a new era of growth, goodness, peace and prosperity.

Alongside the Mufti, who is also the head of the fatwa department of the Council for Islamic Scholars in Zimbabwe, many world leaders and foreign dignitaries are seen sending their congratulations to the new President of the Maldives.
President Solih during his oath-taking ceremony, had pledged to renew and strengthen bonds with Islamic states across the globe.
