Rescue officers have on Friday begun an operation to assist a speed boat that capsized while traveling from the Robinson Club island resort in Noonu Atoll.

Three people were aboard the vessel at the time of the incident, which was reported early Friday morning.

The three individuals were rescued by another vessel that was travelling through the area. None of them had sustained any serious injuries.

Rescue officers have carried the speed boat to Raa Atoll.
