A motorcycle riding against traffic on the Sinamalé Bridge has crashed, injuring both the rider and his passenger.

The accident occurred at about 07:30am on Friday and the 23-year-old rider and the 17-year-old passenger have been hospitalized.

The Aasandha Company, which manages the Hulhumalé Hospital, said that neither of them sustained serious injuries.

The 17-year-old passenger had fractured his leg, while the 23-year-old rider sustained some injuries to the head. Both of them are expected to recover.
