Health Protection Agency (HPA) has shut down Seagull Café over health code violations.

HPA stated that the café was shut down on Monday for failing to meet the required amount of cleanliness needed for a business in the catering industry.

The agency did not disclose for how long the café would be closed.

The HPA notice on the café window states that it is banned from preparing and selling food during the period the notice stays posted.

When contacted by RaajjeMV, the Seagull management stated that it will release a press statement over the issue.

Seagull Café is a renowned restaurant in Male’, that has been in business since 1994.
