Bank of Maldives to set up ATMs in three islands
 
This initiative is part of BML's MVR 300 million program to expand services in the Maldives
 
The bank is to set up ATMs in Maavah island of Laamu atoll, Thulhaadhoo island of Baa atoll, and Alifushi island of Raa atoll

The national Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced plans to introduce ATM services to three islands, under an ongoing project to expand services across the geographically scattered country.

The bank is to set up ATMs in Maavah island of Laamu atoll, Thulhaadhoo island of Baa atoll, and Alifushi island of Raa atoll. They have announced for tender a contractor to build booths where the machines will be set up.

Under MVR 300 million service-expansion project, the national bank set up ATMs at the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital and Gan International Airport in February, this year.

BML’s national network comprises of 34 branches in 20 atolls, 34 self-service banking centers, 95 ATMs, 4,900 POS merchants, and 230 cash agents.

Customers can withdraw a total of MVR 25,000 daily from BML ATMs, with a deposit limit of 50,000.
