Ministers will be appointed to cabinet under agreeable terms: President-elect
'Transition process is proceeding full steam ahead'
'The current state institutions and companies are not in stable condition'
'Our cabinet will be comprised of capable minister that fit under the criteria'

Cabinet of Ministers will be assembled under agreeable terms, says President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

In an interview with local media outlet Sun Online, Solih stated that his cabinet will consist of dedicated persons. As such, the ministers shall be persons who service the citizens more than the leader.

Moreover, Solih stated that the appointees need to be capable and experienced enough to carry out their responsibilities with their full potential.

While the joint opposition coalition is to send in nominations, Solih was asked whether or not they will be competent enough to which he responded that he believes the nominees sent by the opposition coalition will be qualified under their criteria.

“Our cabinet of ministers will be comprised of capable persons who can provide for the citizens under our criteria” said Solih.

Solih further added that the transition of power process is proceeding full steam ahead, going on to note some of the issues perceived during the process, stressing that the state institution as well as ministries are not in a stable condition. As such, the ministries are packed with corrupt deeds, with theft having skyrocketed within the past five years.
