The Elections Commission has said that no result-altering incidents occurred during the election

President Abdulla Yameen has presented no valid reason for the Supreme Court to ‘nullify the people’s decision on September 23’, says former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed.

Dr. Jameel, the first vice president of President Yameen’s administration, tweeted that the Elections Commission did not allow for any problems to occur at the presidential election.

He also said that the world is ready to discipline President Yameen if he keeps being difficult.

This is in regards to President Yameen’s request at the Supreme Court to annul the election result. While the Supreme Court has accepted the case and begun hearings, the Elections Commission has said that no result-altering incidents occurred during the election.
