No police intelligence report included in President Yameen's 'vote rigging' case at Supreme Court

Leaked copies of incumbent President Abdulla Yameen's case at the Supreme Court seeking annulment of the electoral results reveals that it does not include any reports from the Maldives Police Service.
While ruling party supporters say that they have substantial evidence proving that September's presidential votes were rigged, the 26-page case document contains no evidence, mostly allegations.
Further, former attorney general Husnu Suood, who is also a prominent lawyer, revealed in a tweet that he has credible information supporting this.
"Reports confirm that no police intel report was submitted along with RY's application to SC to cancel the election results. Main point of the submission, however, centers around the presence of a ghostly pen ring in polling stations", the tweet says.
Yameen's supporters have accused the Elections Commission of rigging ballots through elaborate means; by printing ballot papers on special material and covertly making marks on said papers using a ring, that officials at polling stations wore.
A hearing for president Yameen's case was held on Thursday, and the apex court has asked the commission to answer to the allegations. While another hearing is scheduled for Sunday, a petition calling for the proceedings to be held openly and broadcast live is in circulation.
