Solih vows to establish a Maldives 'that every citizen can embrace as their own'
'Maldives has fallen into a abyss of corruption during the past five years'
'Loans and employment will be guaranteed to every citizen even though they don’t sign onto any political party'
'No citizen will be left out for having different political beliefs'

Joint Opposition's presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has vowed to establish a Maldives 'that every citizen can embrace as their own'.

Solih said this while addressing attendees at a gathering held in Addu City on Thursday night, where he also highlighted that Addu residents have always worked to restore rights to the citizens and city to which several intelligent students have been born.

Solih stressed that the biggest concern for residents in almost every island the opposition team has visited is the lack of Aasandha services, fear of employment as well as injustice.

The opposition candidate said that the Maldives has fallen into a abyss of corruption during the past five years and that he has concluded the campaign which he began in Addu city as well, with hopes that a solution will be brought for the several issues surfacing over the nation.

“Loans and employment will be guaranteed to every citizen even though they don’t sign onto any political party” said Solih.

Solih further said that no citizen will be left out for having different political beliefs, during an opposition-led government and that no one will be deprived of Aasandha services no matter which political party they belong to.

Stressing that justices of the Supreme Court had been arrested and detained, black money is being used under the knowledge of Maldives Monetary Authority, weapons are being seized from different locations, Solih stated that the character of security forces has also been soiled due to the corrupt actions of a “wicked” regime.

Highlighting that the opposition teams have been received with a warm welcome in each and every island, Solih stated that thus far, 170,000 citizens have assured their votes for him.

“The 23rd of September will see the dynamic results of the joint opposition’s reform efforts. It is the day that unfairly incarcerated political prisoners and those living in self-exile will be freed” said Solih.

Solih is running against incumbent President Abdulla Yameen, who is vying for reelection with running mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
