Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has revealed that President Abdulla Yameen had attempted black magic.
In a press statement from prison, Adeeb claimed that President Yameen had practitioners of black magic working for him, accusing Faresmaathodaa MP Hussain Mohamed Latheef of being heavily involved as well.
According to the former VP, their attempts at black magic included 'cutting down the trees on the main road of capital city Male’ and killing the crocodile at the children’s park'.
In the press statement, Adeeb said First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim had been concerned about their work and that it had caused disagreements between her team and husband’s.
Adeeb was the tourism minister in President Yameen’s administration before becoming his second vice president. He is now serving prison sentences totaling 33 years.
