Juvenile Court has issued a 15-day remand for the two teenage girls arrested over the assault of a third.

A 17-year-old and 18-year-old were arrested on Sunday, weeks after a video of them verbally and physically attacking the girl went viral.

The video shows the two, along with a third accomplice, grabbing the girl and proceeding to slap her across the face multiple times, while making derogatory remarks at her. It was recorded by a fourth girl in the group.

The girls faced immense criticism for their actions, especially on social media and two of them have since issued official apologies.

The girl being bullied in the video, Nashfa Hassan was found to be missing after police launched an investigation over the matter.

Police, last week, said that she turned up at its family and child protection department but declined to give details.
