An individual has been arrested in a drug bust in Hinnavaru island of Lhaviyani atoll.
Police said that it ran a special operation after receiving a tip that an individual was attempting to smuggle narcotics on to the island.
A 26-year-old male was arrested in the operation on Wednesday, according to police.
He was stopped at the island harbor, and upon search officers found three rubber packets containing suspected narcotics on him.
He has since been issued a 15-day remand.
