Fifteen individuals are to receive the National Award of Recognition
19 honourees will be recognised for attaining the top ranking in a higher academic course or training

The National Awards Committee has passed the names of five individuals to receive the annual National Award of Honour.

The award is conferred by the President’s Office on Independence Day, 26th July. The committee said four of the five individuals are previous recipients of national awards.

While five individuals are to receive the National Award of Honour, fifteen others are to receive the National Award of Recognition – conferred at the same service.

Further, 19 honourees will be recognised for attaining the top ranking in a higher academic course or training and two honourees will receive the medal for exceptional academic achievement.

The deadline for applications was set for 15th April.
