Jumhooree Party (JP) President Ali Waheed has met with Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, the presidential candidate of the opposition coalition parties.
Waheed posted pictures of their meeting in the UK on Friday.
In the tweet, Waheed said that he was very happy to meet with candidate Solih and that "God willing he will return Maldives to Maldivians with running mate Faisal Naseem, as well as JP leader Qasim Ibrahim and former presidents Mohamed Nasheed and Maumoon Abdul Gayoom."
While Solih is in the UK for his children’s graduation, the Joint Opposition’s campaign is still proceeding across the country.
