A total of three individuals were injured in two separate accidents that took place in Addu City on Wednesday
Two individuals injured in separate accidents in Addu City on Wednesday have been transferred to the capital for further treatment.
Acting head of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Mohamed Najeeb told RaajjeMV that both were transferred to Malé late Wednesday night.
They are currently being treated in Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). RaajjeMV was unable to get a comment from IGMH at the time of publishing.
Two accidents occurred in Addu on Wednesday, one in the evening and the other at night.
Two women, a 24-year-old and 17-year-old, were injured when the motorcycle they were travelling in collided with car at around 4pm. An official from the hospital had said that the 24-year-old has sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The second accident took place a few hours later, near the causeway connecting Feydhoo and Maradhoo-Feydhoo districts, reportedly after a man speeding on a motorcycle lost control of the vehicle. While the man was riding alone, he is reported to have hit a pillar on the side of the road.
