President Abdulla Yameen has on Tuesday left on a two-day official visit to four islands in Mulaku Atoll, during which this morning he also inaugurated the newly built harbor in Dhiggaru island.

While President Yameen and Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim inaugurated the harbor and recently built sewer system in Dhiggaru island, an industrial island known for its large and in-demand supply of Rihaakuru, they will see through Mulah, Muli and Kolhufushi.

The President is to inaugurate another harbor at Kolhufushi island while having this morning spoken at length at Maldives’ tense political situation, assuring residents of Mulah island that he has never had ‘personal enmity’ with any politicians but saying electing ruling party aligned Dhiggaru constituency MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon was one of their ‘biggest failures’.

President Yameen will return on Wednesday. On Tuesday, he had secured a deal with the Saudi Fund for Development to run ‘housing scheme’ and ‘fisheries sector’ projects.
