A trial hearing scheduled for Wednesday on missing journalist Ahmed Rilwan has been cancelled for no disclosed reason.
The hearing scheduled for 10am was cancelled an hour after the accused, Alif Rauf and Mohamed Nooraddeen, arrived in court.
Court officials informed journalists at the courthouse that the hearing has been cancelled after they questioned the officials on why Alif Rauf and Nooraddeen were leaving.
At the previous hearing, the state presented evidence against Alif Rauf and Nooraddeen and the court heard witness testimonies in their defense.
The state had also charged Mohamed Suaid over the case but his family has informed the court that he had died abroad, but the state has objected to it. It was reported that Suaid died fighting in Syria.
