Attacks on Students
Four, incl. three minors, arrested in connection to student stabbing
Arrested are, a 14-year-old, two 15-year-olds and an 18-year-old male
Three released already
The student was stabbed on Jan. 17, as he was walking home from school

Police have made four arrests over the stabbing of a student that took place on 17th January.

The minor was attacked by a group of five near Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), while he was walking home from school after end of session.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Friday said that four suspects have been arrested over the stabbing, a 14-year-old, two 15-year-olds and an 18-year-old male.

It further said that the 14-year-old has been released to family, while the 15-year-olds were released by Criminal Court after being presented for their remand hearing. Remand hearing of the 18-year-old was scheduled for Friday night.

A student was attacked on 16th January as well, while he was still in school. A gang had barged into Thaajudheen School alongside parents during the end of the morning session, where they proceeded to attack the student. Police said that those involved in the attack had been taken into custody.
