A tornado damaged three houses in Sh Milandhoo on Sunday.
Milandhoo Council's Vice President Ahmed Shiyam said the tornado hit the island at 11:50 am.
The tornado had ripped away the roof of one house, said Shiyam, adding that no one was hurt in the incident.
Shiyam said they are now working with residents to repair the houses, and that the roof has been reinstalled.
The council is currently assessing the cost of damages, he added.
