‘Aburufulhu Fund’ heads to Addu City

A box of RaajjeTV’s ‘Aburufulhu Fund’ is to be opened in Addu City.
The box will be opened in Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) headquarters located on Hithadhoo main road. The box will open for contributions at 3.30pm on Friday. In addition to the fund box, t-shirts emblazoned RaajjeTV logo will also be sold.
The station’s management reported this was part of the efforts started to amass funds for the fine. RaajjeTV has also appealed to viewers to purchase the t-shirts.
Adult sizes sell for MVR 300, while t-shirts for children sell for MVR 200.
RaajjeTV Chief Operating Officer Hussain Fiyaz Moosa said the penalties were part of the attacks made by state institutions to completely decimate and shut down RaajjeTV.
RaajjeTV opened the station’s ‘Aburufulhu fund’ in response to the MVR 500,000 fine imposed by the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC).
