Ras Male' being sold off for a meager sum, driven by worldly greed: Ali Hussain

Emphasizing that Maldivian soil is the most vital pillar of the nation's identity, he warned that granting land to entities with ties to foreign Zionists poses a significant threat to the country's cultural and social fabric. Furthermore, he criticized the government's stance that Maldivians lack the capacity to develop their own land, describing such claims as an insult to the citizens.

Former Member of Parliament for the Kendhoo constituency and legal expert Ali Hussain has stated that the Ras Male' project is being sold off for a meager sum, driven by worldly greed.
Speaking at an emergency rally titled "Dhivehinge Bin Dhivehinnah," Ali Hussain asserted that President Muizzu is systematically dismantling the nation's identity. He emphasized the need to evaluate the profound impact on Maldivian culture and society if 100,000 to 200,000 foreigners were to inhabit Ras Male', warning that such a demographic shift would inevitably tarnish the nation's history.
Ali Hussain stated that every project undertaken from Haa Alif to Seenu Atoll has been executed by Maldivians. He further asserted that claiming Maldivians lack the capacity to develop 500 hectares of land in Fushidhiggaru Lagoon, and instead handing it over to foreign Zionists, is done solely to achieve a specific objective.
This is being done for a single purpose: to sell out our nation and our national identity for the sake of a small sum of money and worldly desires. President Muizzu came to power under the slogan "Dhiveheen-ge Raajje" (The Maldivians' Maldives), emphasizing that very identity. He rose to office by promising a nation that belongs to its people.Ali Hussain
However, Ali Hussain stated that what we are witnessing today is a systematic attack on every pillar of our national identity. Highlighting that the foremost pillar of Maldivian nationalism is its land, he noted that the Maldives has historically remained under the sole ownership of its people. Ali Hussain further asserted that amending laws to allow foreign entities—particularly those with ties to Zionists—to own Maldivian land constitutes a grave assault on the nation's sovereignty and identity.
Furthermore, Ali Hussain stated that President Muizzu is mocking the Maldivian people by suggesting they are incapable of developing Ras Male', despite the citizens being the very foundation of the nation.
