Parliament photographers instructed to 'ignore' opposition, says lawmaker
MP Eva Abdulla said photographers have been instructed to only capture images of parliamentarians aligned with the ruling party
She further said said that the state is ‘broadcasting’ a lie

The parliament’s official photographers have been instructed to only capture images of parliamentarians aligned with the ruling party during sittings, said MP Eva Abdulla.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the opposition lawmaker said that the state is ‘broadcasting’ a lie and that it is an active attempt to hide the discord in parliament.

Monday’s parliament sitting, which was the first after the opposition submitted the last of a series of a no-confidence motion against him, was quickly concluded by speaker Abdulla Maseeh. This was followed by protests on the parliament floor.

Tuesday’s parliamentary sitting had also concluded amidst protest.
