The parliament’s official photographers have been instructed to only capture images of parliamentarians aligned with the ruling party during sittings, said MP Eva Abdulla.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the opposition lawmaker said that the state is ‘broadcasting’ a lie and that it is an active attempt to hide the discord in parliament.
Monday’s parliament sitting, which was the first after the opposition submitted the last of a series of a no-confidence motion against him, was quickly concluded by speaker Abdulla Maseeh. This was followed by protests on the parliament floor.
Tuesday’s parliamentary sitting had also concluded amidst protest.
