Cement sent to islands to deceive public ahead of every election ends up hardening, while vehicles are left abandoned and rusting away: Moosa

The former Managing Director of the Road Development Corporation (RDC), Moosa Ali Manik, has stated that cement dispatched to islands ahead of elections to deceive the public often ends up hardening and going to waste. He further noted that vehicles brought to these islands frequently remain stationary and abandoned until they are consumed by rust.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Vaudhunaama" program, Moosa stated that the public is currently deeply disillusioned and sees no reason to hope for positive change. He further noted that, thus far, whenever President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu makes a statement, the actual outcome has consistently been the exact opposite.
He has effectively fulfilled every single thing he promised he would not do. We witnessed him take an unprecedented oath—one unlike any human has ever taken—where he turned his back on the citizens to face an inanimate object. Addressing the flag directly, he began an oath that led us to believe, with the "thick line" he drew, that our nationalism and all our affairs would be perfectly maintained within the framework of our religion. However, the rhetoric we hear now and the way he conducts his affairs do not align at all with the oath he took that day.Moosa Alimaniku (Mookey)
Consequently, Moosa stated that the Maldivian people see no glimmer of hope for an improvement in the economic situation, a betterment of living standards, or the successful implementation of development projects.
Ahead of every election, the public is misled, only for projects to be abandoned shortly after. If a shipment of cement is brought in, it is left to harden and go to waste. If vehicles are brought to a site, they are simply left stationary until they are consumed by rust.Moosa Ali Manik (Mookey)
Furthermore, Moosa stated that the current government employees and PNC members of Parliament are solely focused on advocating for foreign land ownership in the Maldives. He added that they do not appear to be engaged in any other meaningful work.
Furthermore, Moosa stated that the country has reached a point where President Muizzu must resign.
