Velidhoo MP Mohamed Abbas has stated that the Maldives, which has remained a hundred percent Muslim nation for 900 years, must not be allowed to become a homeland for Zionists.
Expressing his disapproval on X regarding the investment deal secretly struck between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration and the Abu Dhabi-based company Eagle Hills, Member of Parliament Abbas declared, "We must not allow this Maldivian soil to be turned into a homeland for deceitful and cruel Zionists!"
"For more than 900 years, this Maldivian soil has remained a 100% Muslim nation, and we must not allow the deceitful and oppressive Zionists the opportunity to establish a foothold here," Abbas stated.
The member stated that every Maldivian citizen must speak out against this matter and take action to halt the project.
Public outrage is mounting on social media over a secret deal brokered by President Muizzu's administration. Those expressing their discontent include political figures, religious scholars, members of Parliament, and a significant number of concerned citizens.
