Sheikh Fazloon Condemns Eagle Hills Project, Alleges Zionist Settlement Plan

Sheikh Fazloon bin Mohamed has characterized the Eagle Hills project in Ras Male' as a dark conspiracy designed to facilitate Zionist settlement in the Maldives, claiming the development is structured to provide housing for generations of Zionists.
In a post on X, religious scholar Fazloon stated that the circumstances surrounding the deal signed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's administration to grant 500 hectares of land in Ras Male' to Eagle Hills reveal significant concerns.
Referring to information on the website of Eagle Hills regarding the project recently announced by the government, Fazloon noted that the land is being leased for a 99-year term. Furthermore, he highlighted that each time property ownership is transferred, the new owner will be granted a fresh 99-year lease period.
He noted that if the property is transferred to a new owner in the 98th year, whether through inheritance or purchase, that individual would be entitled to the property for an additional 99 years.
According to their website, this is an ongoing series that will continue indefinitely.
Fazloon stated that this is a clandestine and dark crime designed to sell Maldivian properties to the Zionist associates of the Eagle Hills chairman. He further alleged that the scheme is structured to ensure these properties remain with Zionist generations, effectively facilitating their settlement in the Maldives.
"If we do not stand against this today, we will be forced to regret it tomorrow. We must oppose this before the nation's peace, security, and sovereignty are lost," Fazloon said.
Concerns are mounting among the public regarding an opaque deal struck between President Muizzu's administration and Eagle Hills. Allegations are also surfacing that high-ranking government officials received substantial bribes as part of the agreement.
While President Muizzu had previously pledged that not a single grain of sand from Ras Male' would be handed over to foreign parties—whether through lease, short-term agreements, or any other means—he has now decided to grant a massive 500-hectare area of the project to a company with ties to Zionists.
