The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has urged the public to remain vigilant as the current spell of bad weather continues across the country, with heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas forecasted to persist across a large area on Monday.
The Maldives Meteorological Service has forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms across the region from Haa Alif Atoll to Laamu Atoll between 17:00 and 23:00 on Monday. The office also warned that wind speeds could gust up to approximately 40 mph during showers.
The weather office has forecasted that seas in the central and northern regions will generally be rough. While southern waters are expected to remain moderate, conditions are likely to deteriorate further during squalls.
