Ground cleared for Dh. Hulhudheli outdoor gym ahead of two separate elections, yet project remains stalled

The Hulhudheli Island Council has expressed concern over the stalled development of an outdoor gym, noting that while the project commenced to coincide with the recent parliamentary and local council elections, progress has since come to a standstill.

Expressing concern over the matter, Hulhudheli Council President Ahmed Nasru stated in an interview with RaajjeTV that the project was most recently contracted to Fenaka Corporation in July 2025. He further noted that following a request from the Ministry of Youth to hand over the site for the outdoor gym, the council had provided both the designated land and the necessary equipment to the company.

Nasru stated that the equipment required to establish the outdoor gym was handed over to the council during President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration.

Nasru expressed concern over the challenges faced due to the storage of outdoor gym equipment in the council's warehouse, noting that the presence of these items is causing significant logistical difficulties.

We have drafted another letter requesting Fenaka to at least collect the equipment, as they have yet to do so. We simply do not have the capacity to continue storing these items at the warehouse, and we are doing this to expedite the process. Furthermore, a letter has been drafted to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment informing them that Fenaka has failed to remove the equipment.
