The island's residents further alleged that the current administration has failed to deliver any meaningful development or progress for their community.

Residents of L. Gan who spoke on RaajjeTV’s "Haalu Kihineh?" program have voiced deep concerns regarding the current administration, highlighting the significant hardships they face in their daily lives.

In this regard, one individual noted that one of the administration's primary tactics is to mislead the public. Furthermore, some residents from the island remarked that the President is not focused on governing the country, but is instead engaged in staging dramas and cinematic performances.

The primary concern raised by the majority of residents is the complete lack of development projects currently being implemented on the island. Specifically, some locals expressed frustration over the stalled project to expand the island's school building. Residents noted that any significant development the island has seen to date was brought about during the MDP administration.

My greatest concern is the government's complete failure to execute projects. They are simply not progressing at all—not in any capacity. Occasionally, some work might be initiated to coincide with an election. We have seen many foundation stones laid, yet not a single structure has actually risen from the ground.

Furthermore, the shortage of essential medicines and the rising cost of living have emerged as significant concerns for many. Highlighting that food prices have doubled, some residents also noted that utility costs, specifically electricity and water bills, have reached exorbitant levels.

A resident of Gan stated that the public did not bring this administration to power to return to the hardships they previously endured. However, he noted that considering the rising cost of goods and electricity bills, the future looks as though people will be forced to rely on lamps once again. He described this as a deeply regrettable situation.

Highlighting that there is currently no commodity that is not expensive, some citizens have also raised concerns regarding the shortage of essential medicines.

We can no longer even obtain our essential medication. I am someone who relies on daily medication to manage my health, but getting hold of these prescriptions has become extremely difficult. I take my medicine regularly and never used to have an issue; it was always available. Now, that is no longer the case. Even for a consistent patient like myself, if the medicine is available one time, it is out of stock the next. This is the struggle we are facing. The price of food and basic commodities has also skyrocketed. But what can we do? He is simply doing whatever he pleases now.
