President's press conference cancelled due to heavy workload
The President has canceled today’s scheduled press briefing due to a busy work schedule, marking a setback to his earlier commitment to meet with the media weekly. As part of the administration's transparency policy, the President had previously pledged to dedicate one hour each week to engage directly with journalists.

The weekly press conference scheduled for Monday, as part of the President's commitment to meet with the media on a weekly basis, has been cancelled.
The government spokesperson stated that the press conference could not be held as scheduled due to the President's demanding work commitments.
The President has previously announced that, starting in March, one hour each week will be dedicated to meeting with the press. Under this policy, the government stated that these press briefings will be held every Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The President has previously stated that he will meet with the press and answer questions on a weekly basis, provided there are no official holidays, scheduled travel away from the capital, or unforeseen emergencies.
This is not the first time a press conference by the President has been canceled due to a busy schedule. In May, a scheduled press briefing was abruptly called off just one hour before it was set to begin. On that occasion, the government similarly stated that the cancellation was due to the President's demanding work commitments.
While journalists initially welcomed the President's decision to hold press briefings as part of the government's transparency policy, concerns are now being raised by several parties due to the repeated cancellation of these scheduled meetings.
