Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan and Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau have met with the police search and rescue team to commend their dedicated efforts in the operation to locate an Italian diver reported missing near Vaavu Alimatha. During the meeting, the Minister praised the officers for their steadfastness in fulfilling their legal obligations and encouraged them to remain committed to their service to the public.

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan and Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau have met with the police diving team involved in the search operation for the Italian divers who went missing at a sea cave near V. Alimatha.
The meeting, held yesterday at the Commissioner’s Office, was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikury and several members of the police executive leadership.

During the meeting, the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, and the Commissioner of Police, Ali Shujau, commended the diligent efforts of the police officers involved in the search operation for the missing divers. They expressed their appreciation for the officers' dedication and praised the courage displayed throughout the mission. Furthermore, they encouraged the officers to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the public and fulfilling their legal responsibilities as members of the police force.
Mahdi's body was discovered by the Marine Police. Reports indicate that he was already deceased at the time he was found. However, information previously released by the military stated that Mahdi was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The Maldives Police Service is currently investigating the matter.
