Nazim removed from two key parliamentary committees and reassigned to Environment Committee!
The Parliament has announced a reshuffle of its standing committees, appointing MP Ahmed Zameer to the Public Accounts Committee and MP Hamad Abdulla to the 241 Committee, while MP Ahmed Nazim has been moved to the Environment and Climate Change Committee. Despite rumors suggesting a move to oust Nazim from his position as Deputy Speaker, several PNC members have denied these claims. These administrative changes were officially announced by the chair during Wednesday's parliamentary session.

The Speaker of the Parliament has announced that Deputy Speaker and Member for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Nazim, has been removed from the Parliament’s two most influential committees: the Committee on Security Services (241 Committee) and the Public Accounts Committee. New members have been appointed to fill these vacancies.
The People's National Congress (PNC) has appointed Ahmed Zameer, the Member of Parliament for Central Machangolhi, to the Public Accounts Committee, replacing Nazim. Additionally, Hamad Abdulla, the Member for North Fuvahmulah, has been appointed to the 241 Committee as Nazim's successor.
Furthermore, Nazim has appointed himself to the Environment and Climate Change Committee, replacing Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh.
These changes were announced by the chair during Wednesday's parliamentary sitting.
Rumors have begun circulating that efforts are underway within the People’s National Congress (PNC) to remove Nazim from his position as Deputy Speaker of Parliament. However, when contacted by RaajjeMV, several PNC members denied these reports.
