Ziyath appointed as MPL's third Deputy CEO
Although the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) requested the Prosecutor General’s Office to press corruption charges against him in 2021, the current status of the case remains unclear to this day.

Ibrahim Ziyath has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), the state-owned company responsible for managing the country's commercial ports.
In addition to his appointment to the company's Board of Directors, he has been named as the third Deputy CEO of the corporation.
In terms of the organizational hierarchy, this is the second-highest position within the management of MPL. Currently, two other individuals also serve in this same capacity.
Ziyath previously served as the CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) during the PPM administration, in addition to serving as a board member of STO.
He is an individual who faced allegations of procedural irregularities regarding the recruitment of expatriate workers for project sites during his tenure at MTCC. Although the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) requested the Prosecutor General’s Office to press corruption charges against him in 2021, the current status of the case remains unclear to this day.
